These days are counted from sundown on Holy Thursday to sundown on Easter Sunday. We call these days the Paschal Triduum. Triduum is a Latin word meaning three days. The word paschal means Passover. These three days are the Christian Passover feast. During these most solemn holy days, there will be times of prayer for the whole parish community. The words, gestures, symbols and music have been carefully chosen to help us celebrate the passion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Holy Thursday celebrations are very elaborate and beautiful. Our parish will be celebrating Holy Thursday with Mass of the Last Supper and the washing of the feet on Thursday, March 20th at 7:30 p.m. This ceremony symbolizes our service to one another. Good Friday services on March 21st are: Noon Sacred Music, 12:30 The Lords Passion, 3:00 Brazilian Good Friday Service. Please try to attend the services of Holy Thursday and Good Friday with your children. It would be a very beautiful experience for them, especially children in the middle and junior high grades. In the spirit of giving to the poor, please remember to turn in your donations for the Helping Hands Project. The money collected will help start an endowment fund for the schools in the Diocese of Oakland. Your donations are very much appreciated. Have a restful spring break and may the peace of Christ be with you and your families during this very holy and special time of the year. Sincerely, Terry Barber, Principal ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS Enrollment applications for new students are now in the office.
