A Second place award for his experiment on How Fresh is that Flower on the Counter? went to Jacob Shafer, a fourth place award for his experiment on How Flight Angle Affects Trajectory went to John Pugliesi and another fourth place award for his experiment on Teeth Whitening: What Products Really Make Your Teeth White? went to Marcos Molinar. Our students competed with 91other 7th grade students around the San Francisco bay area from Sonoma to San Mateo. We are very proud of their academic achievement and success. Special kudos is given to their science teacher Mrs. Cindy Lopez for her guidance and support. We are also very proud of our first graders who prepared last Sundays liturgy. Their reading of scripture and pray was astounding and their enactment of the Gospel superb. They also did an excellent job leading the congregation in song. It is truly amazing how far the first graders have come since September! We commend their teachers, Mrs. Cohoon de Bruitrago and Mrs. Cooke, for all their efforts in moving the first graders so far in their academic endeavors. We at St. John School are very proud of all our students. They have made so much progress in becoming true Christian Leaders, Academic Achievers, and Responsible Citizens! None of this could be possible without our dedicated teachers and parents who respect and support each other. Sincerely, Terry Barber, Principal Endowment Dinner and Auction Dont miss this years Endowment Dinner and Auction, An International Affair, celebrating St. Johns cultural diversity.
