This list of short videos will give you all of the information you need to use SchoolSpeak. The videos are broken down into different subjects so you can easily find your problem, and watch a short video to help you fix it. All videos are under two minutes and are narrated. |
Important Notes:
- A teacher’s grade book is not always posted online. Your child’s teacher will choose to post their grades when they are ready to publish.
- If a child turns in a missing assignment or is given a chance to correct a bad grade, it won’t be reflected online until the next time the teacher publishes the grade book.
- Homework will be posted on SchoolSpeak but it is still the student’s responsibility to get all the homework in class.
- Please allow up to 48 hours for staff to return any emails sent. Especially on the weekend or during holidays.
- Please do not sign up as a new user. All member’s of St. John School are already in our system and we can’t add you again. If you have lost your username please email cnoble@csdo.org. If you have lost your password, watch the video below on how to reset your password.
Logging in and Resetting Password
This video goes over how to navigate to the schoolspeak website and how to reset your password should you forget or lose it.
How to Change your Password
This video goes over how to log in and change your password from a random 8 digit password to a more manageable password. It also covers some basic profile information.
Profile Update
The video shows you how to log in and update all of your important profiles. It will also explain how to make sure your profile is saved correctly and how to update other family members.
Overview and Progress Report
This video will give you a basic overview of SchoolSpeak and show you how to view grades. It will explain announcements and how to download files. You can also find out how to look at a detailed list of your child’s grades and progress at St. John School.
Changing Language
If English isn’t your preferred language, watch this video to learn how to change SchoolSpeak to another language.

Email through SchoolSpeak
This video covers all the different email options through SchoolSpeak. Emailing an entire group, parents of a group, or email certain individuals.
Finding Members
This video covers how to find any member at St. John’s School. You can find Teacher lists, Parent lists, and Student lists. Clicking on a member will give more information on someone in your group. Some members have elected to keep certain information private.
